Abstract

This research aims to develop a product, namely a deep learning-based ecosystem diorama media that functions to improve environmental literacy in grade V elementary school students. The development of deep learning-based ecosystem diorama media is designed to create meaningful learning through the active involvement of students in observing, learning, and applying ecosystem concepts contextually. The subject in this study is grade V students of SDN 46 Mataram. The number of subjects of this study is 21 students. Data collection was carried out through interviews, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study showed that diorama media is feasible and effective in improving students' environmental literacy. The results of validation by media and material experts obtained an average V value of 0.942 and the validation of the material by material experts obtained an average V value of 0.93. The student response questionnaire in the small group trial obtained a percentage of 86% with the category "very practical". Meanwhile, the student response questionnaire in the large group trial obtained a percentage of 84% with the category "very practical", then in the response questionnaire the teacher obtained a percentage of 94% with the category "very practical". In the learning outcomes, students for the small group trial obtained an average N-gain score of 0.497 and in the large group trial obtained an average N-gain value of 0.482. Then for the environmental literacy questionnaire, students obtained an average N-gain of 0.580 in the small group trial and in the large group trial obtained a score of 0.450. Based on these results, it can be concluded that deep learning-based ecosystem diorama media has been proven to be able to increase students' environmental literacy.
